No shame! Just rush to your Kindle and download immediately!Donna S. And yet A Wizard of Earthsea was one of my greatest inspirations and all time favourite novels in my youth - in fact, I still go back and read the trilogy from time to time even now. The others - how many of you will shoot me for saying I haven't even heard of them?! >.<Pippa Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15146591827060731958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808733415551134993.post-46474024810160857742013-04-13T15:40:39.372-06:002013-04-13T15:40:39.372-06:00Jaleta, I finished my blog, posted it and read it ...Jaleta, I finished my blog, posted it and read it over and was horrified to discover I had left Andre Norton off the list! But I quickly realized someone like you would jump in to fill the breach. Ms. Norton is indeed one of the giants of the genre. No doubt I had a brain freeze in regard to others. Maybe I was abducted by aliens!Donna S. Her first publication credits were in the 1930's. She published hundreds of titles, mostly science fiction and fantasy, many of them with romance. She's the one who got me hooked on science fiction way back in grade school.Jaleta Clegghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442641418941475763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7808733415551134993.post-728258551443000362013-04-13T07:46:46.619-06:002013-04-13T07:46:46.619-06:00Absolutely, yes, Heather! I would definitely not be here today if not for them, since my route to SFR came directly through TREK fanfic in the '90's.Donna S. Those ladies were some of the original "shippers" who combined SF and romance based on shows like Star Trek.

Their stories were the progenitor of today's SFR.

Many of their names will never be known, but at least there's still Jacqueline Lichtenberg!Heather Masseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00913459109753829391noreply@blogger.com
