Guest Posts Galore!
I've been making the circuit of blogs lately, with a number of unique blogs about my Pets in Space story, StarDog. These are quick, fun reads that will give you some cool insights into--and behind the scenes of--this companion story to Inherit the Stars. (The links should all open in a new window for your convenience.)
On Pauline Baird Jones blog: A Mystery Ship Called Calypso
Find out what inspired the name of the secret specialized transport ship in StarDog--why Captain Dava Jordan chose this particular name for her ship (and why I did.
On Lea Kirk's blog: Welcome to Planet Carduwa
A very special place inspired the setting of planet Carduwa in StarDog. It's lush, tropical and offers some unique free enterprise that found its way into my story.
On Carysa Locke's blog: Snakes on a Starship; Rattlesnake in the Garage
A funny(?) thing happened while I was penning this story. Find out how my adventure with a rattlesnake ended up fleshing out some of the scenes in StarDog. True story!
On Cara Bristol's blog: Unraveling the Mystery of Flashpoint
So how did I create an unique Faster Than Light travel concept for StarDog in Pets in Space and the novels of my Inherited Stars universe? It has to do with something that makes up almost 96% of the universe, but that we know almost nothing about! Find out, with a wee bit of assistance from Dr. Einstein himself.
And on USA TODAY HEA an interview by Veronica Scott with the authors of Pets in Space on why they love to write science fiction romance and their favorite fictional animals.

Hero Dog Mitch Update
Earlier I blogged about Hero-Dogs, a very worthy cause some of the proceeds from Pets in Space will go to support. Hero-Dogs provides trained service dogs and companion animals to disabled veterans from our armed services.
As a personal contribution, I "adopted" Hero Dog Mitch with a commitment to donate to his training. Mitch is the name of the hero in my next novel, so he seemed like the likely candidate to adopt. I up the base amount I'm contributing with every comment on a Pets In Space related blog here on Spacefreighters Lounge. So comment away!
Hero Dog Mitch's donation amount to date is $31.00 Comment on this blog to help bump up the next donation. See Hero Dog Mitch's Photo Album.

SPACE RANGER
By Lea Kirk
Graig Roble is the Senior Commander of security for the Guardian Fleet. Even returning to his position aboard the Atlantis can’t save him; if anything, it has left him questioning his own motives. He never thought that could happen until he met Simone Campbell.
Simone’s focus is on her home world – Earth. She thought her
life was full with her research as a botanist. After all, she always believed
that helping the people of her world become self-sufficient should take all of
her concentration – except it doesn’t. There is one man that keeps pulling her
attention, and her heart, away from her job.
Graig’s gift of a puppy to keep her company does more than that,
it keeps him in her dreams. How can such a simple gift bring her comfort and
make her long for more? Graig and Simone are about to find out that sometimes
love can blossom from the smallest, furriest ties.
