A time for all things

This is my last Spacefreighter's post. I've enjoyed my time with my fellow bloggers but it's time to move on. There will be another book next year - I just need to finish off the blogs from our trip to New Zealand and I'll be good to go.

Christmas is a time for friends and family. Essentially Yule is a cold climate festival, hoping for the return of the sun. Here in Australia, we've got plenty of sun at this time of year, thanks all the same. We inherited the cold weather festival from our forebears, but who wants a hot, huge meal when it's 38 degrees (~100) in the shade? Not too many people bother with the whole Christmas lunch, with turkey and ham and stuffing and too much pud. We have a thing called 'Christmas in July' which is about the time of the Winter Solstice here, when the European food fest is suited to the climate.

Our menu for Christmas this year will be prawn, avocado, and mango salad with a crisp glass of sauvignon blanc.

However, it's always fun to play around with Christmas themes on Midjourrney, so for my last hurrah, here are some of my favourites.

A crystal reindeer

A calculating cat - that fairy is in for it

Christmas lights

A snow globe

Thanks you for reading Spacefreighters. Enjoy the festive season, however you choose to celebrate. Very best wishes for the coming New Year.

Cheers

Greta
